Zahia Izzah

Zahia Izzah has been studying and performing “sassy” main stream Middle Eastern dance since 1999. She loves to belly dance and continues to work with top master teachers from around the country. Zahia has performed locally and around the Pacific Northwest both as a soloist and a troupe member. She has danced with several semi-professional troupes over the years and currently works with her own student troupe, Wild Lotus Bellydance. Zahia is a member of both the Corvallis Belly Dance Performance Guild and the Middle Eastern Dance Guild of Eugene, and has served as a MEDGE board member since 2009.

Zahia’s teaching style is friendly and casual. Classes are open to all ages, body types and fitness levels and are conducted in a supportive and accepting environment. We will focus on classic form, beautiful technique and all the fun basic isolations, movements, rhythms and flair of this soulful dance. Students will learn short combinations and get to play with veils and finger cymbals. Performance opportunities are available to all levels! Beginning and intermediate classes are offered each week.
