Lindsey began studying American Tribal Style Belly Dance in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2006. Drawing on a strong foundation of over a decade of ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical dance training, she quickly adapted to the stylized aesthetic of ATS and became enamored with the strength and femininity of the dance. She has studied with Jennifer Nolan (Milwuakee, WI), Paulette Rees-Denis (Portland, OR) and Carolena Nericcio (San Fransisco, CA) and is excited to bring her passion for ATS to Eugene. Lindsey is certified by Carolena Nericcio as an instructor of American Tribal Style Belly Dance and a sister studio of Fat Chance Belly Dance, which means she is dedicated to teaching ATS in its root form, staying true to Carolena’s technique and format in her classes.

Lindsey’s ATS classes focus on beautiful posture, graceful technique and keen musicality, all within a circle of connected, empowered women. “I believe that at the heart of this dance is deep appreciation of the feminine body and spirit…our soft curves, our strong hearts, our kindred souls. In dancing together we honor ourselves and our sisters in a very powerful way.” Lindsey offers classes for all levels of dancers and teaches with much joy and warmth. “I love sharing this dance and I hope you can join us!” Contact Lindsey for her current class schedule.
