I took my first bellydance class in 2001, Nia was the teacher. It was so much fun! My insides loved the warm fuzzy feeling; it made me a little more graceful, and I made new friends. And, you gotta love putting together costumes.
In early 2002, Nia encouraged us to learn a choreography to perform at that year’s student show. Well, seven of us did it. We worked hard, helped each other, and made a great memory.
Since then, I have attended a variety of workshops and taken classes with several local teachers-mainly those of Elena, Razia, and Sabine. Now I am a grandma of three and celebrating 60 trips around the sun. (Number three grandchild is a girl-maybe she will dance.)
