Performing at FF10

The festival dancing this year is from 12:30-8:00 p.m., so there’s plenty of room for everyone! This is also the only show of the year where you do not have to be a pre-approved MEDGE performer to dance! In fact you may use your performance as an audition if you like – see the info below about this if you’re interested. There will also be a few open dance times throughout the day as well. The last hour (7:00 – 8:00 p.m.) will be live music by Ala Nar.  Please specify if you want to dance with them (only 6 spots with them, those will go quickly). Scheduled performers get into the festival free- please check in at the door to get a stamp.

Basic info: All solo performers have an 8 minute maximum. If you are a troupe, you may take up to 10 minutes.

Please check in with the backstage manager in the dressing room (upstairs in Studio B) at least 30 MINUTES prior to your performance time. If you are unable to do this due to unexpected delays we will try our best to still fit you in, however depending on how late you are you may have to wait until an opening in the schedule later on.

Make sure your music is on a CD and be sure to label it following the instructions that will be posted in the dressing room. Same goes for your emcee card. Please have these ready at least 15 minutes prior to your performance time and give them to the backstage manager.

New performers: If you would like to use your performance as an audition for our regular MEDGE shows, please let Lila know about this when you sign up.  Per MEDGE by-laws, at least two board members need to see your audition, so Lila will have to make sure there are two board members present at the time of your performance. It is very important that you let Lila know when you sign up that you are signing up as an audition – merely performing at the fest is not a clearance to dance at the other shows. Thank you for your understanding and the best of luck to you!!

Contact Lila McDaniel – 541-343-2783, or  email If volunteering, please let Lila know what position(s) you’re interested in, what time would work best for you (please give a two to three hour window at least), and any other info you think I should know. Performers – let Lila know what time windows work best for you. If you are taking workshops and/or dancing with multiple groups please let Lila know so she can schedule you around that. This is a first-come, first-served system, so the sooner you sign up, the more likely you are to get the time you want! If you have any questions or concerns at all, please feel free to let Lila know and she will do her best to help you out!
