13th Annual MEDGE Fall Festival – Oct 15, 2016

In honor of our 25th Anniversary year, this year’s Fall Festival will feature workshops and performances by MEDGE instructors. Join us at WhirledPies/Cozmic on Saturday, October 15, 2016 for all-day dance performances, live music hour, Gala Evening Show, vendors and workshops. Also part of this year’s Festival are workshop offerings from our Featured Performer/Instructor, Cassandra Rose, and from MEDGE instructors Razia Star, Lindsey Rodrigues, and Regina Anne! Featuring Cassandra Rose

Cassandra Rose is a multiple award winning, professional belly dance artist. Recently crowned Belly Dancer of the Year 2015, she is a highly sought-after performer and instructor in the Pacific Northwest. Cassandra is known for her high energy, elegant and creative performances and choreography. She has been dancing for over a decade and has been trained in American Cabaret, Egyptian and Turkish Belly Dance by many instructors on the West Coast, as well as additional training in fusion belly dance, jazz, hip hop, ballet and modern dance.

Cassandra just opened her very own dance studio, Bellywood, in Salem where she teaches beginning to advanced level classes, including both traditional and fusion styles. She is the director of her multi-award winning tribal fusion belly dance troupe, Belly Funk, and her cabaret troupe, Sirens, as well as directing her three student troupes.

Cassandra Rose is an ambitious dancer, continuing to educate herself about Middle Eastern Dance, encouraging her students and troupes to strive for excellence and to help build a stronger dance community around her.


Fall Festival Workshops

On Saturday, October 15, 2016, MEDGE will present two workshops with our featured instructor, Cassandra Rose – plus three additional workshops on Sunday from Razia Star, Regina Anne, and Kindred Tribal’s Lindsey Rodrigues! All workshops will be held at Staver Dance Sport, located at 41 East 6th Avenue in Eugene, Oregon.

Cost of all-day admission for adults $10, includes admission to the Gala Evening Show (children 12 & under free, family-friendly event).
